DinkTap® (“DinkTap,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (1) information you provide, (2) information collected automatically when you use the Services, and (3) information collected with your permission from device features (like location or camera).
A) Information You Provide
- Account & Profile Information: name, phone number, email address, profile photo, skill/rating inputs, availability, preferences.
- Authentication Data: phone number and one-time passcode (OTP) used to sign in (we do not store your SMS messages).
- User Content: content you submit or share, such as match results, comments, posts, photos/videos (if enabled), and chat messages.
- Support & Communications: information you provide when contacting support or responding to surveys.
B) Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: app interactions (e.g., screens viewed, taps), match activity, leaderboard activity, feature usage, crash logs, and performance diagnostics.
- Device & Technical Data: device model, operating system, language, app version, approximate network/location signals, and device identifiers (as permitted by your device settings and applicable law).
C) Information Collected With Your Permission (Protected Resources)
We only access protected device resources when you grant permission, and you can change these permissions anytime in your device settings.

Location Information (Approximate or Precise):
- Used for: helping you discover nearby players, allowing nearby players to discover you (based on your settings), and suggesting relevant facilities/events.
- Example: showing players within your chosen radius.

Camera (and Photos/Media Library, if enabled):
- Used for: letting you create or share in-app media.
- Examples: taking a profile photo, capturing a match/court photo to share in chat, or uploading photos/videos to posts (if those features are enabled).
- Note: We do not access your camera or photo library unless you choose to use a feature that requires it.

Microphone (only if you choose to record video/audio in-app):
- Used for: recording videos that include sound.
- Example: recording a short match clip with audio for sharing (if enabled).
D) Payments (If You Purchase in the Services)
When you purchase memberships, DinkTap® credits or reserve courts, payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store full payment card numbers. We may receive limited payment-related information (e.g., transaction status, last four digits, billing ZIP/postal code where applicable) from the payment provider.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Provide the Services: create accounts, authenticate users, enable matching, scheduling, messaging, and leaderboards.
- Personalize your experience: show relevant players, courts, and events based on your preferences and (if enabled) location.
- Enable community and social features: show your profile and activity based on your visibility settings and interactions.
- Process transactions: memberships, reservations, and related receipts/support.
- Communicate with you: service announcements, security alerts, and (with choices) marketing messages you can opt out of.
- Safety and integrity: detect fraud/spam, prevent abuse, enforce policies, and protect users.
- Comply with law: meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. How We Share Information
We may share information as follows:
- With Service Providers (Processors): hosting, analytics, customer support tools, communications (e.g., SMS/email delivery), and payment processors. These providers are authorized to use information only as needed to provide services to us.

With Other Users (In-App Visibility): depending on your settings and interactions, other users may see your profile details (such as name, profile photo, rating, availability, and play history).
- Example: when you match, join a team, join an event, or participate in chat.
- For Legal/Safety Reasons: to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or prevent fraud/abuse.
- Business Transfers: in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (we will continue to protect your information as described here).
We do not sell your personal information. Where applicable under state law, we also do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Data Retention
We keep information as long as needed to:
- provide the Services,
- maintain your account,
- resolve disputes,
- enforce agreements, and
- comply with legal obligations.
When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information unless we must keep certain information for legal, tax, security, fraud-prevention, or operational reasons (for example, transaction records).
5. Account Deletion (In-App)
If you created an account, you can delete it inside the app.
- In the app: Profile / Settings → Account → Delete Account
- What happens: we will begin deleting your account and associated personal data. Some data may remain temporarily in backups or be retained as required by law (e.g., payment/transaction logs).
- Confirmation: we may ask you to confirm deletion to prevent accidental requests.

6. Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (including GDPR/UK GDPR and U.S. state privacy laws), you may have rights to:
- access, correct, or delete your information,
- object to or restrict certain processing,
- request portability (a copy of your data), and
- opt out of marketing messages.

Permission controls: You can enable/disable access to location, camera, photos, and microphone in your device settings. If you disable permissions, some features may not work.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information (such as encryption in transit, access controls, and secure storage practices). No system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in certain regions such as the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we collected it, we will delete it.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and revise the “Last Updated” date.
